Last year, we reported on our journey toward greater sustainability and how we aim to take responsibility for the environment, society, and our company. A lot has happened since then: Our goals have turned into concrete measures that are making our day-to-day work more sustainable and future-proof.
Last year, we made targeted investments in our infrastructure—with the clear goal of reducing our energy consumption and lowering CO₂ emissions while simultaneously strengthening our company’s security of supply. These investments not only contribute to climate protection but also lay the foundation for long-term economic and responsible business practices.
Our Steps Toward Greater Sustainability
By 2026, we will have thoroughly modernized our infrastructure, with a particular focus on energy efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions:
- Replacing the gas heating system with a modern heat pump
- Expansion of our photovoltaic system with additional modules
- Installation of a high-performance battery storage system
- Setting Up an Uninterruptible Power Supply for Our IT Systems
- Installation of two charging stations for electric vehicles
With these investments, we are reducing our energy consumption and our carbon footprint, strengthening the reliability of our infrastructure, and laying the foundation for sustainable corporate development.
Sustainability creates added value—for you as a customer, too
Many of our customers need to demonstrate compliance with sustainability requirements throughout their entire supply chain. Through our investments and commitment, we are making a tangible contribution to this effort: We are reducing our own carbon footprint and establishing transparent, traceable sustainability standards. In this way, we support our customers in achieving their own ESG and climate goals.

Part of our commitment is to pursue our sustainability goals in a transparent and measurable way. That is why we participate in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In the CDP, we were awarded an SME B-Score in both 2024 and 2025. With our SBTi target, we are also committing to reducing our CO₂ emissions by 42% by 2030—based on a scientifically sound foundation and with a clear focus on continuous improvement.
Sustainability remains an ongoing process
The projects we have implemented are important milestones for us. However, for us, sustainability is not an end in itself, but a journey. We will continue to develop our processes, our infrastructure, and our services so that we can act in an environmentally responsible and economically sound manner. For us, true sustainability comes from the decisions we make every day, not from individual measures.
